Exploring Solana BeachNestled along the northern coast of San Diego, just north of Del Mar, you’ll find this charming seaside community called Solana Beach. This community has a population of roughly 14,000 and offers an urban-suburban fee. It is located only 30 minutes outside of downtown San Diego. Living up to its name, Solana Beach offers near-perfect temperatures ranging from 62 degrees in the wintertime to 77 degrees in the summer. The Cedros Design District is in the heart of Solana Beach and consists of art galleries, antique stores, boutiques, and cafes. The Design District is also home to the Solana Beach Farmers Market, which operates every Sunday. Another prominent venue on Cedros Avenue is the Belly Up, a live music space operating since 1974. Solana Beach is served by the Solana Beach School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District.
